Lighter, Not Harder

A broken chain and a light feather representing letting go of pain, moving forward, and becoming lighter through personal growth.

A couple of days ago, someone shared an observation about me that made me see myself differently.

He said that I have built my Life on what He called “masculine ground” - creating financial stability, moving to another country, starting my first business, doing door-to-door sales, training Jiu-Jitsu, and learning how to stand on my own feet.

And despite all of that, He said, He found it impressive that I had kept my femininity.

What I took from this feedback was something even deeper:

Life doesn’t have to make You harder.

Over the last few years, I have dealt with financial uncertainty, taken risks, trusted the wrong people, helped build a business and got betrayed, and had to get back on my feet again.

Of course these experiences hurt.

When someone I considered a friend scammed me, I felt the disappointment, sadness, and anger that came with it. I didn’t pretend that I was fine or force those emotions away. Instead, I allowed myself to feel them while making the decision to move forward and taking action to rebuild.

That is an important difference.

You can allow pain to move through You without turning it into bitterness. You can learn from betrayal without becoming suspicious of everyone. You can create stronger boundaries without building walls around Your heart.

The experience becomes part of Your story without becoming another layer of armor around You.

Throughout these years, I have become stronger, more independent, and more aware. Yet underneath everything, my inner child, my Soul, my pure essence remain.

I still want to play. I still get excited. I still dream big. I still love deeply. I still believe in people. I still want to connect, explore, laugh, feel, and be a light for others.

To me, growth isn’t about becoming harder so no one can hurt You. It is about letting go and learning how to let Life move through You without losing Yourself in the process.

Become lighter, not harder.

When You get hurt or disappointed:

  1. Feel it. Allow Yourself to experience the emotions instead of pushing them away.

  2. Listen to it. What is the experience showing You? What needs attention, acceptance, a boundary, or change?

  3. Take action. Protect Yourself, solve what You can, rebuild, speak up, or choose a different direction.

  4. Let go. Take the lesson with You without carrying the pain as part of Your identity.

Don't become harder every time You get challenged.

Feel it. Learn from it. Act on what You can. Let the rest move through You.

This will bring You so much more peace, AND You know You can handle whatever Life brings Your way.
